Construction Begins on Phase 1 of OSD Tech Campus
Construction has officially begun on Phase 1 of the OSD Tech Campus – an innovative technology center in the Old Sawmill District. It is located just north of Cambium Place, a mixed-use Class-A office, retail, and luxury apartment complex, on Wyoming Street in the heart of Missoula, MT. Future phases of the OSD Tech Campus are slated to develop into over 150,000 SF of Class A office and retail opportunities.
The two three-story buildings will be constructed over the next year and a half and will soon accommodate the expansion of Cognizant’s Advanced Technology Group (CTSH: a Fortune 500 company). Cognizant/ATG plans to house over 350 additional employees in over 40,000 square feet of leased office space. According to Cognizant, the space will provide them with the flexibility to continue expanding their employment in Missoula and the surrounding region.
The OSD Tech Campus’ design acknowledges Missoula’s history, engages the community, and magnifies the “Live, Work, Play” concept central to this new urban riverfront site. Architecture is inspired by the sawmill industrial roots of the Old Sawmill District and the future of technology, innovation, and learning. You will see homage to the grand arches of the world’s most beautiful train stations and the timeless prominence of university centers of education. As well as a focus on a minimal impact to the planet through green roof spaces, solar technology, and the utilization of recycled building materials.
The Old Sawmill District is a new neighborhood for the best and brightest that is currently home to prime commercial and residential properties, Dog and Bicycle Café, Brio Fitness, C3 WorkLounge, The Sawyer Student Living, Aspire Physical Therapy, and Edward Jones Advisors. In the future, the Old Sawmill District will welcome the Cambie Tap House, Sawmill Grille, a hotel, parking garage, additional residential properties, and more food/beverage options.
