If you’ve gone past the Old Sawmill District lately, you may have noticed some changes.
Polleys Square A is the first condominiums to open in the new Polley’s Square development, and greeted their first residents Thursday.
After lying vacant for close to 25 years, the Old Sawmill District is being developed by Ed and Leslie Wetherbee.
Construction began in June of 2015 on the Polleys Square Apartments which will involve 20 units of residential condos.
Over 100 people attended Thursday’s grand opening and were allowed to tour one of the ground level units.
The theme of the complex draws on the historicity of its founder, Edgar Polleys, who opened Polleys lumber company on the site in 1910.
“We are bringing something new to Montana, new to Missoula, that has never been seen before. So we are creating high density urban living, that people call home. They’re beautiful open floor plans,” said Leslie Wetherbee, a realtor with Windermere Real Estate.
The cheapest condominium available now starts at $302,900.
